Raised in Pittsburgh, Allison Brown graduated from Penn State with a Chemical Engineering degree from Penn State – only to realize she was actually a banker at heart. She pursued her MBA from the University of Chicago, which provided the blueprint for her career development and led to consulting and analyst positions at Deloitte Consulting, William Blair and Houlihan Lokey in Chicago before joining Avondale Partners in 2018.

Allison’s life path has been as interesting as her professional background. Her love of travel has taken her from the pyramids of Egypt to the Great Wall of China. From Machu Pichu to the  Great Barrier Reef in Australia. And from Ankor Wat in Cambodia to Bora Bora. 

When she’s not planning investment strategies or her next adventure, Allison can be found at home in Pittsburgh with her husband Mark, their two children and her beloved Steelers. And just when you think you have her figured out, she will tell you that she was a member of her high school dance team which competed and place in the Nationals – twice. She is an avid Sci-Fi fan, she read all eight Game of Thrones books 15 years before it was trendy, and her favorite movie is Gone With The Wind. On occasion, she relaxes with her similarly unconventional favorite cocktail: Vodka and Diet Coke.
