Avondale Partners hosted more than a hundred guests and a dozen panelists from across the country at this year’s healthcare conference, Consumerism Driving Change in Healthcare, held at The Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
Panels of industry experts tackled topics at the center of rapid change in healthcare delivery:
- Consumer-facing technology
- New approaches to primary care
- Telehealth’s role in changing care models
- Evolving urgent and emergency care models
The keynote address was by Roger Holstein, former CEO of WebMD and current Managing Director, Digital Media Head, of Vestar Capital Partners. He spoke about how the increase of transparent information has created enormous new marketplaces and their potential impact on healthcare delivery.
Avondale senior research analysts Sung Ji Nam and Paula Torch spoke about the impact of consumerism on their respective research areas.
A dinner for speakers and special guests was held prior to the conference at The Southern.
